What is the difference between Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Chabad tzitzit?

The garment can look the same. The difference is how the strings are wound and knotted, following each community's custom. Choose the tying that matches your family's minhag. Every tallit and tzitzit product on VeAhavta lets you select it.

Are your tzitzit kosher?

Yes. Our tzitzit are tied under rabbinic supervision by certified makers, including Mishkan HaTekhelet, Mofet and Melechet Machshevet (MMJ). Each product page lists the maker, the string type and the tying option you are buying.

What is the difference between thin and thick tzitzit strings?

Machine-made (meyuchad) strings are thin and uniform. Hand-spun strings are thicker, with a traditional look. Available options are listed on each product.

What size tallit do I need?

Start from your height on the maker's chart, then compare dimensions. On the Mofet chart, size 55 suggests 5′2″–5′4″, 60 suggests 5′5″–5′7″, 70 suggests 5′8″–5′10″ and 80 suggests 5′11″–6′1″. See the tallit size guide.

Should I choose a non-slip or a smooth wool tallit?

Choose non-slip (Tashbetz, Peer Kal or Bareket) if you want help keeping the tallit on your shoulders. Choose Smooth Wool AA for a clean, formal drape. Read non-slip vs. smooth wool.

Which tallit is right for a Chabad buyer?

Start with a Chabad model and tying. Mofet Modim has a fuller, traditional look; Mofet Yishtabach is lighter and designed to resist slipping. Both come with thin or thick Chabad strings.

How do I choose a tzitzit shirt size?

Compare the size chart on the product page with a shirt you already own. Measure chest width side to side and length from shoulder to hem. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for a looser fit.

Cotton or Dri-Fit tzitzit: which should I buy?

Choose cotton for a soft, traditional undershirt. Choose Dri-Fit mesh for light, moisture-wicking comfort during sports, camp, travel and warm days.

How fast do you ship?

Orders ship the same business day from our US warehouse. Standard shipping is free on US orders over $85. UPS 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are available at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, to eligible countries with USPS and UPS Express. International rates appear at checkout. Import duties and taxes may be charged by the destination country.

What is your return policy?

You can return unworn items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery, with a free prepaid label inside the US. Tzitzit garments in sealed packaging cannot be returned once opened, unless they arrived defective or incorrect. See the return policy.

Do you offer wholesale pricing for synagogues, schools and stores?

Yes. Organizations and retailers can apply for a trade account with wholesale pricing.
